With not much to do on Wednesday night, I
procrastinated surfing the internetz researched crafting stuff on Twitter and came across a link to a blog I hadn’t heard of before, Damask Love. And my jaw dropped to the floor and stayed there.
Seriously, how did I not know about Amber before? Her blog is stunning and her crafting ideas breathtaking. There’s so much creativity, I felt like I had walked into a book store (I’m an avid reader, I prefer a book store to a candy store 😉 ) and Amber’s style of writing is so fresh and funny, you can’t stop reading even if you’d want to. So, I send almost everything I read on her blog (until 2am) to Pinterest, I’m incredibly inspired!
To my surprise and joy, CAS(e) this Sketch and Fusion teamed up and brought me a challenge that met my need to put that inspiration to use. This post about hand painted cards made me want to whip out my new Butterfly stamp sets by Clearly Besotted and try the gold embossing and coloring myself.
Granted, my card is not nearly as beautiful as Amber’s, but it was fun creating it and I will try this particular technique again. After I’ve tried everything else I found on Damask Love. 🙂
