Hello everyone! I hope you’re having a fantastic day and are in no need for a card like the one that I’ve created today. Don’t worry, it’s not a sympathy card, but more a get well card. I realized that I don’t have enough of those and when I need one of them, it’s usually urgent and I don’t really have time to make one. So I guess it’s a good idea to always have some in stock.
For this project, I’m using the stamp set “Gotta Bug” by The Alley Way Stamps. I could have kept the cart clean and simple, as you can see in the first part of the video where I stamped the band aid and simply colored it. But I wanted to add some interesting dimension and texture to this card, so I grabbed my wood veneer and balsa wood and stamped that the band aid on that and then cut it out and adhered into my cart. It’s like a real wood.
I didn’t want to add extra dimension apart from the band aids to the front of the card, so I fuzzy cut around my stamped band aids and then adhered a panel of patterned card stock to the inside of my card front. I find this an easy and interesting way to add colorful highlights to your card without adding too much bulk.
Thanks for stopping by today and commenting, you’re making my day!
