Hello everyone! After my last cards for Purple Onion Designs you guys asked me if I could show another one where I demonstrate how to create a scene with several stamps. Your wish was my command.
Hi crafty friends! I have no idea when I’ll be publishing this blog post, but at the time I created this card, I had finished part one of my move just about two weeks prior and was craving to create a new card! (Update: It’s now about four months later, and I’m finally done moving. For all of you who have sent some good karma along for Sissy: she’s doing much better, thank you! Still a little shaken about having had to go to the clinic, but she’s on the mend.) I know we lovingly call crafting a hobby, but sometimes it seems to be more of an addiction! I had also been to a craft show the previous day and I picked up a gorgeous butterfly stamp which I was just itching to use!
Ok, show of hands: who’s seen the Pixar movie “Up!”? I love that movie, for so many reasons! And recently I was about to fall asleep when I suddenly saw the design for this card floating through my mind. I jumped out of bed, and, in my PJs, quickly stamped it out at 1am so I wouldn’t forget it over night. Here’s how I colored the project and created that cloud background.
Hello crafters! Today I am back with a card featuring another cute stamp by Purple Onion Designs – this cute penguin called Filbert. I colored him for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge early 2016 and took special care to make his chest glow with the yellow shades – I had looked up penguins to see how they looked and I loved the splash of color. Also, don’t forget about the 25% off sale at POD! Grab all the stamps you ever wanted with that amazing discount!
Hello crafters! Purple Onion Designs has a sale going on – check out the blog post for details! Some of you might have already seen today’s video as it went live unintentionally a few days ago and it took me a few hours to realize it. My move (finally done!) had me literally brain-dead and I have no internet, so this completely slipped through the cracks. Anyway, I bet there are some of you who have not yet seen the video, so here it is! (I had to re-upload it to schedule it for today, so your previous comments are lost – sorry!)
Hi guys, let’s get cute again! I am still drawing from my supply of colored critters from the 30 Day Coloring Challenge earlier this year. This time, we are meeting Purple Onion Designs “Birch” wearing a rainbow hat. I wanted to keep the fur of the bunny white, so I needed a colorful accent and a rainbow hat seemed perfect:
