Hello, crafty friends, and welcome to the January Product Release Blog Hop by Pretty Pink Posh! You should have arrived here from the wonderful Lisa Elton and at the end of the blog post you will find all the participants of the hop so you can visit all of the blogs of those wonderful ladies and increase your chances to win one of the 2 $25 gift certificates. All you need to do is leave a comment by 11:59 PM PST on 1/10/2016. Winners will be announced on the Pretty Pink Posh blog.
Even though Paulina is releasing square dies this month, I decided to use the rectangle dies which were released last year. They are the same design, just a different format: the die cut the base shape, and adds stitching inside the outer border and then die cuts as scalloped border on the inside as well. They come in two sizes and of course I had to create a shaker card — it Pretty Pink Posh, after all!
I started out by creating my background with a large stamp by My Favorite Things which I inked up with distress inks and then smoothed out with a water brush. I then used at the smaller one of the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Dies on a piece of white card stock and fun foam to create the dimension.
The floral shapes are by Paper Smooches, and I glued them on a piece of the vellum on which I also stamped the sentiment. It’s from the stamp set by Hero Arts, which was designed by Jennifer McGuire. Keeping with the kindness theme, I am using the new sequin mix released in January called “Kindness”.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you got inspired with the new products, and don’t forget to hop along all the blogs of the participating artists and leaving a comment. It’s your chance to win a gift certificate to go shopping in the Pretty Pink Posh store! Next stop is the crazy talented Yuki! Good luck!
