Spooky greetings, crafters! Today I want to delight you with a clean and simple Halloween card which features a free digi stamp by my crafty friend Jessa from Useless Trinkets.
I started out by printing the image on Copic friendly card stock with my Epson printer and coloring it. I went with typical Halloween colors and even added some green to the face of this zombie librarian to give her the proper spooky look. I kept the rest of the coloring rather simple and did just some basic blending.
Once I was done I grabbed a piece of purple card stock and added some double sided adhesive to it so I could pour some glitter by Elizabeth Craft Designs on top of it. After you rub it, this glitter stays in place and doesn’t come off. With my new Scalloped Rectangle Dies by Lawn Fawn I die cut a shape that now had a glittery border. The white piece with my coloring was trimmed down to size and I added a stitched border with the Stitched Borders 2 dies by Pretty Pink Posh.
Taking inspiration from Paulina of Pretty Pink Posh I grabbed my Tiny Star Stamp from DeNami Designs and deep black Versafine ink to create this stark and clean background which I think looks absolutely wonderful.
I created this card with a specific person in mind and I hope that she’ll find it in her mailbox just in time for Halloween. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you had fun and check out the amazing free digi stamps that Jessa offers on her website.
I’m entering this card into the following challenges: Creative Knockout “Halloween”; Simon Says Stamp “Anything Goes”; Addicted to Stamps and More “Holidays”; and lastly colorQ #314 who have a halloween themed color scheme this week.
