Hi crafty friends! I am back with a Mini Coloring Class, but a bit different this time. I want to show you how to color the same image with different mediums, specifically Copics (alcohol markers), Inktense (watercolor (sort of)), and Polychromos (colored pencils). To get the same or similar look, you need to use different techniques with each medium which I want to point out to you.
I’m going to be using a wonderful digi stamp by Bloobel Stamps, a designer on Etsy which I have only recently discovered thanks to Jennifer Dove. The images are quirky, have lots of character, and are so much fun. In addition, by not being “realistic”, I feel they also give us a lot of creative license – you don’t have to have a real-life skin tone etc. with these images. Just use whatever you feel is best! For this image, also check out the coloration which the artist has done herself. It helps a lot to get a feel for the image.
