I’m currently on a digi stamp trip – my cards might not show it (yet), but I’m gathering great images and looking forward to purchasing a new printer next month so I can print at home instead of at work. Many images, especially good ones for coloring, can be purchased very inexpensively and the great thing is – you can adjust their size or edit them a bit to make them fit your needs.
I’ve had so much fun coloring those images. I printed them on Simon Says Stamp heavy white card stock and I’ve found that it’s the best paper I tried so far when it comes to Copics. And I positively hate the Copic Express paper (which was really expensive) because it can’t hold a candle to the SSS paper. Seriously, don’t get Copic Express paper – the ink bleeds and blending is a chore, not a pleasure.
For some additional accents, I traced the upper and lower border of the cupcake holders with gold ink, as well as added highlights with Copic Opaque White ink.
In order to make it a “real” birthday card, I stamped the birthday greeting from Altenew’s Label Love in green pigment ink, cut it out, and popped it up on 3D foam on the inside.
