Hi crafters, today I’m going to go colorful for my guest designer post for Create A Smile. I’m using their newly released stamps that from this month, but I’m not using one of the adorable critters. Instead, I’m focusing on one of the border stamps today.
Sorry, I wanted to have a video for you today, but for some reason my camera had a bad day and the material was unusable. I’ll have a new video for you on Friday 🙂
I realize that the border stamps work great with the critters, but I was wondering if they would look great by themselves as well. And since I am in the phase where I like to go rainbow colors on everything, the border stamps were perfect for this.
In order to add a little bit of contrast to the card, I added a thin strip of glitter washi tape and stamped my sentiment (which is a combination of sentiments from two stamp sets) with a very deep black ink. A few sequins and seed beads by Pretty Pink Posh for the bling finish off the card.
I hope you got inspired to look at certain stamps in your stamp sets in a different way. And of course, get out all your ink pads and stamp rainbows wherever you can 🙂
I’m also sending this card off to the following challenges: Addicted to Stamps and More which asks for “CAS” cards, CAS-ology which wants to see “Lines”, and Simon Says Stamp who has the perfect challenge called “Sparkle and Shine” (and I have sparkly sequins and seed beads!).
