Christmas seems to be still some way off, but suddenly I realized that not only do I have to send my cards from Germany to the US by the end of November at the latest, I also need to order my christmas supplies … like, now!
With that in mind, I thought it would be good to start practicing with the supplies I already had, namely stamps and dies from Sizzix.
This card was done with some masking: I stamped the deer first on some Copy express paper and colored them with my Copic markers. I stamped them again on patterned paper and die cut them, but then trimmed the form down so I’d only have the sweater left, which I glued on the colored images. I die-cut the deer from masking paper and then stamped the trees and snowflakes around them. It’s also only the second time I used twine and I fell in love with it.
My plan for this card was to keep it as simple as possible (basically, just two colors) and still give it some nice twist. I used a Sizzix/Hero Arts background stamp on red paper and embossed it in white. I cut the panel apart and stamped the sentiment in Red Royal Hero Arts shadow ink. Again some twine and done.
