Today is the first day of the new Online Card Classes course “Stenciled” and we are learning about getting inky with our stencils. I combined today’s lessons with the Keep It Simple Challenge #32 which is themed “Square” and with the Friday Mashup (“Create a set of “Thank you Cards with Matching Envelopes”. “).

I used one of my new stencils with Distress Ink and gently spread the color, making it fade to the sides. I also put to use my brand new “Fanciful Feathers” stamp and die set from Wplus9 which arrived today with a whole bunch of other goodies, courtesy of Make the Day Special in the UK.
I inked up the feather stamps with three different colors of ink to make them a bit more interesting and then 3-d mounted them on top and below the vellum tag.

The sentiment is from Avery Elle and was used to match the Friday Mashup challenge for thank you cards. I used my Stampin Up/We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board to create some envelopes for the square cards and stamped the feathers on the outside with white pigment ink to have a complete set.

Having a blast with the new online class and all my new goodies. Just wish I had more than just three stencils 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
