Hey everyone! A while ago, I showed you in this video how to easily create a quick birthday card. That first card actually went so quickly I created a second one: super simple, easy Copic coloring, but I created my own cloud background. I took this inspiration from the amazing Francine Vuillème, who creates the most gorgeous cards!
You saw that I used a die to trace the cloud shape, but if you don’t have a die, you can just draw it yourself! It’s very easy to do, just a few bobbles here and there. It doesn’t need to be perfect, after all, it’s just clouds! Once you have your template, pick a very light color for your clouds and off you go!
I had originally intended to keep the bird white, but the clouds were too light to offer enough contrast so I had to color him in. As you can see, it was also a super quick coloring job, nothing too fancy. No matter at which coloring level you are with your Copics, you can do this!
For finishing touches, I had to sprinkle a few dots around the bird – yes, I’m still addicted to dots – and also added a few highlights with my white gel pen. It’s not much, but I feels it elevates the entire composition a bit.
Thank you for watching! Hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial!
