Hi crafters! Today I have a fun card for you. I am using stamps by Purple Onion Designs, some of the cutest house stamps you can imagine. They are perfect to create a silent night winter scene.
I started out by stamping the houses with the help of some masking so one house would overlap the other. That helps to create depth, and it’s so very easy to do. Then I added just one layer of color with my Copics, so the roof got one shade of red or green, the houses one shade of brown or grey…I just needed a base color so I would have to do less blending with my pencils, which saves you about two layers and can save you considerable time.
The only place where I did some blending was on the sky—you can of course also do that with pencils, but I didn’t have the time so I just grabbed my Copics and was done in 2 minutes. Then I turned my attention to the houses, and with some sharpened pencils started to add details to bring out the details in the roofs and wood planks. Since I already had the Copic base layer, it was rather quick to add the depth and then blend towards the base color.
Last but not least I added some snowflakes with my Sharpie and stars with my Stardust gel pen.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you got inspired!
