A happy hello, fellow crafters! Today I hope to delight you with a cheerful and bright card which hopefully will lift your spirits or just make you smile. The stars of the show are the gorgeous oval dies by Pretty Pink Posh and stamps by Altenew.
As for the coloring, I kept it super simple – some of you have let me know that, as gorgeous as I can color some images, you don’t think you could replicate the process. So today’s coloring is very, very simple:
I’m doing very easy shading with watercolor which only involves putting down a bit of color and then blending out with water. Nothing fancy at all, so all of you can be successful with this technique. I did add some details with pencils at the end, just to enhance the overall impression, but you can skip this if you don’t feel like adding this.
I also wanted to brave my patterned-paper-aversion and grabbed some MFT Gingham paper, which is just gorgeous! It’s perfectly subtle for my background and helps the flower and butterfly to really pop; also, it doesn’t interfere with my sentiment as a more strongly colored background otherwise would.
I don’t know if you can see it in the photos, but I spritzed the butterfly and flower with some Perfect Pearls mist before adhering them to my card and they have the most gorgeous shimmer.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you got inspired!
