I know it’s Thanksgiving coming up for my US peeps, and here I am with something that looks suspiciously like a Christmas card. If you will bear with me (pun intended) I’ll show you that I’m not completely off-topic, though.
Pretty Pink Posh has released some amazing fall themed sets this year, and the Giving Thanks stamp and die set is definitely one of my favorites ever. With all the additional little images, it’s super easy to create a Thanksgiving or fall card, but you know me: I’m all about stretching my supplies. This helps us to get the most of our stuff, to not just use it for one occasion but for as many as we can. Sometimes, all you need is a change of color.
I colored Mr and Mrs Bear in traditional christmas colors, and used them together with the Holiday Greetings set which many of you received for free when your purchase last month was over $100. Of course, you can just as well use the Winter Wonderland set or Christmas Friends to get the seasonal touch.
More than anything I was itching to play more with Peekaboo Windows Dies – I mean, aren’t those just so much fun? I intentionally kept the card super simple and plain on the front so the inside would really pop once you lifted up the flaps. I think it’s just so much fun that some of the strong color peeks out from underneath the flaps and really tempts the recipient to take a peek 🙂
I also used my white Sharpie pen to add lots of faux snowflakes to make the background more interesting and because my huge stash of Pretty Pink Posh sequins was trapped under a ton of stuff (I was painting my living room and had to move lots of stuff around and stack it on top of each other), I grabbed some Nuvo Crystal Drops for embellishment instead.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you got inspired! I’m sending this card off to the following challenges: Addicted To Stamps and More “Clean and Simple”.
