Hi everyone, I’m back today with a project featuring Pretty Pink Posh stamps and dies, and also some dry embossing with dies (very subtle, but pretty cool).
Just in case it wasn’t clear in the video: I found that with the Simon Says Stamp heavy paper, I need to use my old Sizzix base plate, not the newer magnetic one, and my old cutting plates with the crease pad. That sandwich seems to be a tad thinner than if I use my new cutting plates on the magnetic base. If I use the latter, the die doesn’t emboss into the paper, it cuts it. Just in case you’ve run into the same issue. As always, experiment with your own setup—each machine is a bit different, and results my vary.
I enjoyed the ink blending here—it’s very easy and quick to do, and gives you great effects. Also loved stretching my border dies to create the snowy hill. No idea where that came from, but I just had an epiphany.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you got inspired!
