Festive greetings, crafters! I’m having a blast using new Purple Onion Designs stamps and combining them with older images – on today’s card I created a festive scene with only “accessory” images, no cute critters anywhere but I think the card works really well nonetheless!
The magic of masking never ceases to amaze me, and I just love to peel back the masks to reveal the shiny and clean images underneath. People who receive cards that have used this method forever wonder how we were able to color around elements to precisely and it’s fun to watch them try to figure this out 🙂
I was particularly pleased about how the light-glow turned out. I was worried that the yellow, in combination with the pale rose and intense purple color would end up a brown mess, but it really did work, to my surprise! Love how the lantern appears to be glowing!
In addition, I used some of my Nuvo Drops. I added some of the glitter variety to the sky for stars, and then the Gloss White to some edges for the faux snow. You just have to make sure that your coloring medium underneath the drops has dried completely because they’ll soak up the color otherwise.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you got inspired! Oh, and don’t forget: if you are interested in the Tonic Nuvo products and the available colors, I have color swatches made from the Nuvo Drops, the Glitter, Glimmer Paste etc. ready for you to download via the DOWNLOAD link in the menu bar to your left, or via this link here.
