Hello fellow crafters! This month, CAS-ual Fridays is celebrating breast cancer awareness month. As some of you know, Michele – the owner – was diagnosed last year but has successfully beaten cancer. That’s a reason for celebrating in and of itself! For the occasion, the CAS-ual Fridays website is all pink this month, and we’re using pink on our cards all month long to raise awareness.
I started out by stamping the snowflakes with Versamark on some watercolor paper, then heat embossing on top of the ink. Then I used a blending tool to apply some distress ink and spritzed it with my Mini Mister to make the color move on the card stock.
Once all of this was dry, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and embossed it with sticky embossing powder that acts like glue. This allowed me to cover the sentiment with gilding flakes, which just give an awesome texture to the sentiment.
Sending this card off to Less is More “One Layer”.
