Hello, crafty friends! Today I have a shaker card for you which actually was created in a rather confusing and convoluted way, but turned out fine in the end. Since ya’ll telling me that you enjoy seeing me mess up, you certainly will have a blast with this card.
First of all, I didn’t really know where the shadows and highlights would go on the bunny’s head and only some way into the coloring it became apparent to me that the underside of the face would have to have some shadows. When I was done coloring, I wasn’t happy about the look, so I added texture to the bunny by adding dots with the same colors I had used for the initial coloring.
The only thing that was really fun about this card was putting the shaker mix together. Since I know my friends are expecting a baby girl, I grabbed my stash of pink sequins and just started throwing them together, using both regular sequin colors and some iridescent sequins for extra sparkle. And seed beads are always a great addition to any mix: they are tiny and sparkly!
