Howdy, crafters! I’m back with another guest post for Whimsy Stamps, and today I want to show you another copic coloring project. It’s all about coloring folds in a dress and skin tones, so check it out!
As always – and you’re probably tired of hearing this – if you are interested in learning more about skin tones and coloring clothes, do check out the coloring classes at Kit and Clowder. That’s where I learned everything I know about coloring, and I’m still taking their classes to improve. I started out with zero Copic knowledge and have worked my way up to my current skill level over three years. If I can do it, you can do it, too!
This image is titled Birthday Beauty, but of course you can use her for many different occasions. I love the detail in the dress, and of course – balloons! Who doesn’t love balloons? I can see myself coloring her again with different color combinations, and one day I’ll even attempt this with watercolor.
I wanted to leave the image as the main focal point, so I only stamped a simple sentiment and added a few Stardust dots. The white panel was die cut with an edge die by Reverse Confetti, and I added some patterned paper by My Favorite Things to my card base for contrast.
