Hello crafty friends! Today’s card is a card I created just for fun. I have stumbled across the beautiful floral stamps by Penny Black through my crafty friend Sonja from The Art of Stamping and grabbed a few of them. Finally I got around to color them up.
The beauty of these stamps is that you can anything you want with them – use them on CAS cards, for layouts, or mixed media projects. You can color them with any medium, in any color you want (have a look at a few samples here). You can keep it simple, as I did here, or you can add patterns and go all out (I bet if Marika would try these stamps, she’d turn them into complete works of art). I opted to grab a few red Copics and add just the hint petals with highlights and shadows.
To add even more detail, I grabbed my Stardust gel pens and added a few dots only in the shadow areas. Unless you tilt the card in the light, you don’t even see the sparkle so it makes for a happy surprise. The sentiment is German, from the company Dani Peuss who make their own (gorgeous) sentiment sets and it says “Wishing you a wonderful day”.
Of course, as a final touch, I had to add some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh in Sparkling Clear. They are just the perfect touch for almost any card.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you got inspired! I’m sending this card off to Simon Says Stamp “Anything Goes”.
