Hello crafters! Today I am back with a card featuring another cute stamp by Purple Onion Designs – this cute penguin called Filbert. I colored him for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge early 2016 and took special care to make his chest glow with the yellow shades – I had looked up penguins to see how they looked and I loved the splash of color. Also, don’t forget about the 25% off sale at POD! Grab all the stamps you ever wanted with that amazing discount!
Filbert was colored using Polychromos pencils and I also used a Lyra blender pen. With the Polychromos, don’t expect a huge difference with the blender, there won’t be any. But it does smooth out some of the pencil marks if you are patient. Just don’t think it will have the same effect as using baby oil or Gamsol or Zest It. It’s much more subtle.
I created the background by pressing my Distress Inks on a piece of acetate, spraying it with Perfect Pearls water, and then dipping the acetate to the card base. Of course, I also had to add a few sequins and droplets from Pretty Pink Posh to add more sparkle to the card.
Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed the project!
