Hello everyone! Today I have the honor of being a guest designer at one of my favorite challenges: Addicted to CAS! I love clean and simple cards, even though I often struggle with the clean part. But I love the challenge, and this week at ATCAS, we have the code word: Stripes!
When I read the theme, I immediately thought of a hilarious stamp set by Katzelkraft called “Les Jungles”. The zebra has somehow traded its stripes against dots … seriously, I could holler every time I see that image.
Of course I has to use my favorite color scheme – rainbows! By keeping the rest of the card white, I felt safe adding that splash of color since it contrasts nicely against the clean panel. The stripes were colored with Copic Markers, and the shading on the Zebra was done with Shinhan Markers (if you are interested in a review of the Shinhan markers, have a look here).
The sentiment is from Lil’ Inkers “Keep it Sassy” and it was just perfect for the “raised eyebrow” look of the zebra. And I bet we all have those days when we just want to go “headdesk” but have to keep that smile up on our faces 😉 I’ll keep that card in my stash for the time when I’ll need to cheer someone up.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you’ll hop on over to Addicted To CAS and play with us – I can’t wait to see your take on our challenge theme! Cheers!
