Hello and welcome to a very special event here at Just One More Card! Today is my birthday (I’m now literally in my mid-thirties) and my biggest birthday wish was to give back to all of YOU: the now 10,000+ YouTube subscribers, over 1,000 Facebook fans, over 4,000 Instagram followers, and almost 1,000 regular readers here on my blog! Over the past three years you have shown me so much kindness with your comments, cards, and even gifts! I cannot even begin to tell you how much your thoughtfulness, your kindness, and your support have meant to me. I used to have a tech-blog about all things Apple, and boy, let me tell you: that tech-blog scene is a tough field for a woman. At first, I didn’t want to blog anymore, let alone create videos for fear of experiencing the same negative comments and trashing as I was used to. I had no idea how wrong I was, and you – all of you who are part of this crafting community – have shown me just how loving, fun, and supportive we can be if we just spread a little kindness each day with a kind word. I thought it was time I returned the favor and threw you all a party! I’ve invited some of my crafty friends whom I admire greatly to hop along with me, and I have some incredible sponsors lined up with gifts to give away to You!
My project for You!
In the past year, I’ve changed my outlook on life and tried to be more appreciative of what I have (instead of what I think I need or want) and I’ve been trying to be more understanding and kind with the people I interact with (ongoing struggle sometimes 😉 ). I think kindness starts with yourself – if you can’t be kind to yourself, it’s hard to be forgiving and loving with others, so I’m trying to treat myself a bit better so I can be a better human with others. So here’s my project, featuring a wonderful sentiment stamp by our sponsor CAS-ual Fridays that sums up my new philosophy:
Incidentally, this was also the first card I made after a three week break (had to take some time off because of my move) and the first card I made in my new apartment! I can’t tell you how good it felt to be back on my craft desk and let my creative juices flow again 🙂 Of course, after my bed, the craft space was the first area I finished setting up. After all, I got my priorities straight.
If I could have, I would have used products from all of my amazing sponsors, but you’ve seen me use all of their awesome stuff before. But since I am still on my glitter kick, I had to sparkle up this project and of course color in the glitter. If you don’t want to use your Copics on glitter for fear of damaging them (you do need to be careful), I’m currently experimenting with some alternatives and will let you know in a new video once I know more.
I am so very happy to have some fantastic companies support me with incredible generosity in this celebration of kindness. These are the prizes they have sponsored:
- A $15 gift card to Altenew
- A $100 gift card to CAS-ual Fridays
- A $25 gift card to Concord & 9th
- A $20 gift card to Gerda Steiner Designs

All you have to do is grab a cocktail, put your party hat on, hop along the blogs of the participating designers, and leave them some love. You can enter the giveaways on the blogs until Sunday, July 31. I will announce the winners here on my blog on Monday, August 1. Please subscribe to my blog in order to be notified about the winners! If I don’t hear back from you within a week, I’ll have to draw new winners 🙂
Now I’m sending you off to party! Thanks to all the amazing ladies who have joined me in this celebration and created fantastic projects!
