Hello and welcome to the third day in our countdown to the new CAS-ual Fridays holiday release! I’m going to showcase a brand-new stamp set today, and of course today is yet another opportunity for you to enter my giveaway. Check out my post for more details.
Today’s stamp set is “Partridge in a Pear Tree” which seems to be a popular theme in English speaking countries, but as a German, I have no clue at all why this is holiday related (I did check Wikipedia, but that didn’t really clear things up). Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun coloring the gorgeous image with my Copic Markers.
I’m still very much in glitter land, so I added glitter two ways on this card: one with the Glossy Accent method which I introduced in the first post in this series, and then via a strip of glitter paper which I had created myself (using double sided adhesive sheets). Since I still have a stack of panels which are cut smaller than the average A2 card base, I turned my mishap into an advantage and stamped the sentiment off to the side, which is a welcome change to the traditional horizontal sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you got inspired!
I’ll be giving “Bring on the Snowflakes”, “Snowy Sayings”, and “Funky Flakes Fri-Dies” (the products I introduced on day one of this series) to one lucky winner. All you need to do is leave me a comment on each of the release blog posts this weeks (I’ll have one each day) and I’ll be announcing the winner Saturday morning here on my blog when the release goes live and you can start your shopping.
If my project inspires you and you go shopping for some stamps and dies at CAS-ual Fridays, don’t forget to use my exclusive code Julia2016 on checkout. That will save you a whopping 15% off your purchase!
