Hello, fellow crafters! No matter where you are, I bet most of you are sweating in some sort of sweltering summer heat. Since I myself am no fan at all of that, I’m delighted to be showcasing some winter and christmas stamps this week – the new CAS-ual Fridays holiday release is upon us! And not only do I have tons of inspiration and videos for you – I also have a giveaway of stamps and dies, so read on!
Today, the Design Team is starting off with “Bring on the Snowflakes”, “Snowy Sayings”, and “Funky Flakes Fri-Dies”. All these products will be available this Saturday, July 16, at CAS-ual Fridays. I originally had wanted to create one single, very detailed card, but while crafting I realized that it would be better to make two cards out of my one planned design. Therefore, my video is a little weird, but I’m confident you’ll see what I mean 🙂
The first card was originally supposed to be the background for my shaker, but when I had finished the stamping, it just looked so lovely by itself, I had to use it as-is. Since I’m also on a glitter-kick right now, I used generous amounts of Glossy Accents and glitter to add sparkly highlights to the card itself.
My second card was something that I had in my mind as a vague idea: I love those cover-dies which are the size of a card panel, but I find them often too expensive and you can really only use them for one purpose. With separate dies like the Funky Flakes, you can do all sorts of things – and create your own die-cut pattern!
I had such a blast, and it was super easy (for once, I remembered to add the double-sided adhesive before die-cutting) to add those die cuts to my acetate so it looks like it’s floating. And that sequin mix – oh, I believe the Rose Gold from Pretty Pink Posh is a totally trendy winter color! I’ll be using it a ton on holiday cards this season.
Through total accident, I ended up with two copies of all the new CAS-ual Fridays products I’ve used today. I’ll be giving these 2 stamp sets and 1 die set away to one lucky winner. All you need to do is leave me a comment on each of the release blog posts this weeks (I’ll have one each day) and I’ll be announcing the winner Saturday morning here on my blog when the release goes live and you can start your shopping.
