Hello crafters, I’m back today with another project for Sweet Stamp Shop using a newly released stamp set that features critters with the most fun expressions you can imagine! I wanted the entire focus of the card to be on one of these cute animals, so here’s what I came up with!
When working with small images, composition is very important. I colored the die-cut frame in a very bright color to capture the attention and direct it towards the center of the oval, where my little critter sits. And as you could see, even with small images it pays off to pay attention to the coloring – you can add a ton of detail!
I could have left the rest of the card empty, but decided to create my own “patterned paper” using a small heart stamp from another newly released stamp set and some very light Altenew ink. It’s very subtle, and you don’t have to do add this, but it certainly helps to add another level of detail to your card.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you got inspired! I’m sending this card off to Simon Says Stamp “Anything Goes”.
