Hello crafty friends, today I have a project for you that combines easy coloring with a modern look that will make your project look very stylish. Check it out!
As you saw, the coloring is super easy. I do basic blending, going from dark to light. I don’t worry about adding any details – this basic style is something everyone can be successful with, no matter what your coloring skills are. I do leave some areas in the flower and leaves uncolored, though, to have some nice contrast. You could use a complimentary color for those spots, but I thought white by itself already looked pretty neat.
To create that “modern” look, I created my own gold glitter paper and cut a very thin strip and combined that with a slightly wider strip of patterned paper. Those black lines – I’m telling ya, they just get me every time. I feel that they are really, really enhancing my cards, no matter which style I go for.
And if you, like me, misjudge the width of papers and strips (because you are too lazy to measure) – it’s fine to trim down your card base at the end 😉 Of course, a good trimmer helps with that.
Thank you for stopping by today! If my project inspires you and you go shopping for some stamps and dies at CAS-ual Fridays, don’t forget to use my exclusive code Julia2016 on checkout. That will save you a whopping 15% off your purchase!
