Hello crafty friends! A while ago I made a video showing you how to use watercolor markers to create a nice color blend on stamped images. I also showed you a peek of a second robot I had colored that day and today I am finally showing what I created with that little guy. I used the same coloring technique, just different colors.
I cut down my card base a bit so the the scalloped frame by Pretty Pink Posh would have an even distance to each edge of the card. I die cut the frame from some patterned paper and from white card stock. Adhering all the layers together raised the frame up a bit for additional dimension.
The little robot is mounted on foam tape and then I proceeded to add a whole bunch of sequins across the card. To guide the eye and make the sequins appear as part of a whole, I added some dots with my Stardust pen and black gel pen in between to create a “band” which goes across the card (as a Star Trek fan, I constantly think of it as the Nexus 😉 ).
The sentiment says “Feel hugged” – I decided to make more cards this year with German sentiments since I found a company that makes a lot of great sets that look amazing and I hope you’ll enjoy the break from just English sentiments.
