Hello crafters! Today, for a project for CAS-ual Fridays, I wanted to keep it really clean and really simple. And I wanted to try out my new Ranger Dye inks (I had bought the Electric Lime and Lemon Twist to test them). I am combining a few CAS-ual Fridays stamp sets as well for this card:
I started out by stamping the tree trunks and then grabbed a few circular stamps from the Autumn Blessings stamp set and three different inks. For once, despite not having planned ahead, my color combination worked out beautifully! I really like the fresh and upbeat look. And I am delighted with the Ranger Dye inks – they are solid right away, have very good coverage, and the colors don’t fade over the course of a few minutes. Basically the opposite of the HA inks.
I stamped the sentiment with Versafine pigment ink, my favorite for crisp sentiments, and mounted that panel to the front of my card. I kept it white otherwise to make sure that the colors would really shine. I enjoyed stamping all those little dots – it’s faster than you might think! Just make sure to “overlap” the colors a bit and not end them all in a straight line because it looks unnatural otherwise.
If my project inspires you and you go shopping for some stamps and dies at CAS-ual Fridays, don’t forget to use my exclusive code Julia2016 on checkout. That will save you a whopping 15% off your purchase! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a fantastic day!
