Hi crafters! It’s halftime (no, no worries, this isn’t a football reference but pertains to the fact that half of the month is over and you only have a few days left to enter the Seven Hills Crafts challenge and win a gift certificate). This month’s challenge is all about color – we have three color schemes (which you can check out here) from which you can choose.
I picked the second one and my beloved “Blossoming Buds” set from Paper Smooches. I just love these florals, they can be used in so many different ways. This time, I stamped them on kraft and colored them with my Stabilo Carbothello pencils. I kept it very simple this time: no blending at all, just one color per colored area. Just because you see crazies like me go overboard with blending all the time, don’t feel like you have to do that, too. Keeping it simple is totally ok!
Of course, you can also use Prismacolor pencils or Polychromos to color on kraft, it just takes a little more patience with those to get nice coverage and vibrant colors. With chalk pastels, don’t forget to “set” the color when you are done. I prefer to use hair spray. For this card, I also added some spritzes of Perfect Pearls for additional shimmer.
Thank you for stopping by today, I’ll see your entries over at the challenge, deal?
