Hello crafty friends! Today I have another technique video for you: I am focusing on the different looks you can get with the same coloring medium. I am using my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers (other watercolor markers would work similarly) and I am coloring using three different techniques:
- Blending from one color to color.
- Blending colors with a brush and water.
- Blending colors with a Blender pen.
Each method has different results, and I’ve made a video for you showing this process:
I personally find the coloring of just markers too dark, but that’s personal taste. The second technique, where I used the water brush, was the one that I ended up using for a card. It’s lighter look appeals more to me. The last technique using the Blender pen is another one I like very much because it adds a bit of texture and I feel that especially for critter images that works really well.
Putting the card together was really easy once the coloring was done: I glued the Decorative Tag die shape on black paper and then used my scissors to trim around the main shape and leaving a tiny black border, simply for contrast purposes.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you got inspired!
