Hi crafters, today I am fluttering by with a quick and easy card set. I am using a stamp set from Purple Onion Designs and I wondered how to create a lot of Thank You cards quickly and easily. Turns out, this is easier than you might think 🙂 I grabbed these gorgeous butterflies and a few inks and got started. I created three cards in different color schemes – one rainbow, one with “fresh” colors like yellows and greens, and one with purples and pinks. Once I had figured out the basic layout, I just had to repeat the stamping.
If you look closely, you will know how I determined the color order (something I had been struggling with in the past). I took blue as my base color, and then looked at the color wheel. If you go into one direction, the next color is mint; if you go into the opposite direction, the next color is purple.
As you can see, if you follow those “rules” of color order, it’s very easy to create a visually pleasing card. I stamped the sentiment in bold black to offset it against the colors.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope I could bring some color to your day!
