Hello crafters! As you can see, I am not over my rainbow phase yet and I’m completely fine with that (I hope you are too). Due to my move, I have sold most of my inks instead of storing them away for half a year so I felt I had to make good use of them while I still had them. I used my Fiskars stamp press to align the stamp properly; with a clean card design like this one it’s really important to not mess up stamp alignment because it will jump right in your face when you look at the card. I also used my Hero Arts Cleaner and baby wipes to clean the stamp thoroughly between colors to avoid color contamination of the stamped image. You really want to scrub well!
I stamped the zig zag pattern on the card base and then cut a front panel apart and cut away a strip of about 1″. That allows the colors to show through and it also focuses your attention to exactly this part of the card. I felt that I needed something else besides the sentiment so I grabbed some Delicata Gold ink and added those tiny little star-like shapes. The card is very easy to make; all you need are inks of different colors. You could create any color scheme you want – keep it monochrome, or stick to “male” or “female” colors only. If my project inspires you and you go shopping for some stamps and dies at CAS-ual Fridays, don’t forget to use my exclusive code Julia2016 on checkout. That will save you a whopping 15% off your purchase! Hope you got inspired!
This card goes off to CAS on Sunday which has a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge and I’m choosing the grid line “Patterned Paper, Stamp, Something Shiny”. Granted, I created my patterned paper myself, but hey – creative license 🙂 I’m also sending this card off to Stempelküche Challenge “Regenbogen” (Rainbow).
I’ve listed the products used for this project below. If possible, I link to Seven Hills Crafts for all European Crafters. Alternative shopping outlets linked to are Amazon US and Simon Says Stamp. Click here to learn more about which companies I am affiliated with.
