Hello crafty friends!
As I’ve hinted at repeatedly in the past, I am moving and finally it’s time. Of course you know me, I’m not doing it the easy way if I can do it the hard way. That’s why I am moving three times this year: into the office (well, company-owned apartment underneath the office), to my parents, and then into my own place.
Last year, after a very uncomfortable heat wave which raised the temperatures in my apartment (top floor, beneath the roof) to an uncomfortable 40 degrees Celcius (104 Fahrenheit) for a few weeks I decided that heat isn’t my thing. I had moved to Stuttgart, Germany, a little over three years ago as I was starting a new job here but in all that time, this region never became “home” for me and so I’m going back to my real home soon, and then maybe move on to another country (north, where it’s cold!).
You might be wondering – why are you moving into a company apartment instead of going home directly? Or just staying in your apartment for as long as you have to stay in Stuttgart (because of some exciting stuff at work, I’ll have to stick around here for a few months).
The short of it is: I didn’t want to spend another summer in the hot apartment, but due to the expected workload I won’t have time to organize a move before the end of the year if I don’t do it now. So: getting rid of the hot apartment now, taking temporary shelter in the company apartment, and then moving back to my parents before finally finding a place of my own again. Phew!
I’ll have one room here beneath the office (quite a downgrade from a 70 square meter apartment, but you can’t beat the commute 😉 ) which I’ll be sharing with my cat, her scratch tool, and her litter box. Yay. Not. We’ll be sharing the place with another colleague of mine who stays there now and then and I’m curious to see how well Sissy and he’ll get along 😀
With those limitations in terms of space and time available to craft (by the time you read this, all my craft stuff is packed up and at my parents, 600km away), I had to work ahead extensively – which I did in January and February. Every post and video you’ve seen in the last month has been prepared in the first 8 weeks of this year. Every post and video you’ll see until July has also been prepared in the first two month of this year.
Currently, I only have some coloring supplies to keep me company at my temporary home, but I hope to film a few coloring tutorials for you. I won’t be able to respond to comments a lot since I’ll be working on my keyboard all day already, so please forgive me if I don’t get back to you in a timely manner.
But, no worries: I’m doing fine! Everything is going as I want it to be, I’m excited about the changes ahead of me – save the fact that I don’t have a craft room. I have tons of posts and videos scheduled for you so please keep an eye out for those to hit YouTube or your Inbox soon.
Catch ya’ll later!
