Sparkly greetings, crafters! Not long anymore and Valentine’s Day is upon us again. I hope you have someone to celebrate it with, and if you want to brighten someone’s day with a non-romantic card, here’s an idea for you:
I went slightly crazy with the glitter, but I had just too much fun with this. When using a glitter as this red one, it might be best to use a card stock of a similar color so whatever you see through the glitter will not be as obvious (as white card stock might be).
Another neat effect is that with these beautiful Fri-Dies, you can keep the left overs (the little hearts) and use them on another project just by themselves. Aren’t we crafters great at using every little thing?
I stamped my greeting with red ink, but then decided I wanted additional interest and used my Copic marker to add a little depth to it. It was risky, as going outside the stamped lines would have ruined the entire card – but hey, you know me: if it doesn’t make my blood pressure go up, it ain’t worth doing 😀
Hope you enjoyed this sparkly project. Catch you again soon!
So pretty! Your ink color seems to match the red glitter perfectly…and you were so brave to add Copics at the end! Whew! 🙂
Love your card. I’m going to have to try your glitter technique. Oh, those little white hearts! I thought they were little clear gems. You always leave me smiling….thank you for that.
Julia!! I was holding my breath when you pulled out the Copic. Hehehe. This came out so BEAUTIFUL. Well done…
Love the ombre on the stamped sentiment and those pretty white hearts. What an great Valentine.
WOW ! What a stunning card. Love the boarder die. I also am intrigued the way you made your sentiment stand out, thanks for sharing that fun idea with us. 🙂
Wow, Julia, the glitter is beyond lovely. This card is really spectacular. It appears so clean and simple–and it isn’t so hard that anyone could give it a try. I do look forward to each of your videos. Thank you.
