It’s the middle of the month and that means you still have a few days left to participate in the Seven Hills Crafts challenge – this month we are asking for “fancy folds”. I have to admit, I actually wanted to make a different card, but after failing twice in measuring correctly, I went with an “easy” solution.
Die cutting the opening was a bit tricky: I closed the flaps, placed my circle die exactly where the two flaps met, and then secured it with post-it tape on one of the flaps. Then I opened all the flaps and ran it through my die cutting machine. Repeat on the other side. Then I die cut a scalloped circle for the border of the opening.
The rest was easy: I stamped the cute cow from the My Favorite Things set into the opening so it would peek through my window and then colored it using my Carbothello Stabilo chalk pastels. I really like the creamy blending you can get with them, but you have to be very careful to not accidentally smear them.
I hope that this simple “fancy” fold card inspires you and can’t wait what you guys come up with for the challenge!
