Hi crafters! Today’s card combines Distress Ink backgrounds with a clean and simple style. Yeah, I know; I didn’t think at first this would work out, but amazingly, it did 🙂
I started out by creating my distressed background using colors which are next to each other on the color wheel to ensure I wouldn’t end up with strange blending effects. I did the enter card base, even though I knew I would only see it at the top and towards the bottom. It was just easier that way.
On my front panel, I stamped the sentiment by CAS-ual Fridays in Versafine black ink. I used my heat gun to make sure it wouldn’t smear, then used my paper trimmer to cut a slice out of the panel so the background would be visible through it.
For some additional interest, I added a few Droplets by Pretty Pink Posh and enhanced the borders of my panel with my Stardust gel pen.
Cheers and catch you again soon! I’m sending this card off to CASology “Distress”, using the technique of enhancing the focal point of my card with distress colors in the background.
