Hello friends! I hope all of you have arrived safely in 2016, have recovered from excessive partying on New Year’s Eve, and have gotten your crafty mojo on 🙂
Today, I have the great pleasure of showcasing a few products that were released last year In the “Stamp of Approval Box” by Catherine Pooler. This January, these stamps and dies by CAS-ual Fridays are finally available for you to purchase on Wednesday, January 6.
On my project today, I am showcasing the new Curtis background stamp, a huge clear stamp that will cover your entire card front. I am also using a sentiment from the new stamp set called “Girlfriend” and a fantastic new die, called “Friend Fri-Die”.
I started out by masking off the center part with simple Post-it notes and then stamping the background stamp on top of it. The actual pattern is solid but I used my white gel pen to add a white circle for additional interest. For the die cut word, I first put double-sided adhesive on a piece of scrap paper and then puzzled strips of colored paper together to create a gradient effect.
By accident, I put double-sided adhesive on the colorful part and not on the back — you know me, I don’t throw stuff away, so I just decided to run with it and put some glitter on top. This is one of those incredibly awesome accidents because it looks so much better with the glitter than it would have without.
Please join me again tomorrow for another preview using the products to be released on Wednesday, January 6, over at CAS-ual Fridays. I hope you got inspired today, and I can’t wait to hear from you!
