Hello crafters! Today I’m keeping it clean and simple with some dies and stamps by CAS-ual Fridays. I started out by cutting a panel slightly smaller than the standard A2 card front and then cut the star shape from it.
I traced the star shape onto the card base itself, then used some Distress Ink to sponge on color. You might not see it, but I used three different inks to create a smooth blend and gradient. To give it some festive shine, I dabbed on some Perfect Pearls with a dry brush – and in the end used my finger to smooth it out. Never forget your fingers as perfect crafting tools. And they are free!
Next, I stamped the star outline with Versamark, then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. You would not believe how the embossing powder sticks to the Perfect Peals, so make sure to use and embossing bag – I didn’t and spent 5 minutes clearing away excess powder. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx black – a guarantee to always get great, deep black impressions.
Finally, I ran my front panel through my die cutting machine with a Lil Inker cutting plate to get the stitched pattern for additional interest. For sparkle, I added gems and pearls with my Glossy Accents – and in the last second thought of lining them up with the stitched pattern. You’d think that was obvious, but not to me 😉
