Hi crafters! Today I have a very easy and quick card design for you, which you can use as a starting point for very different style of cards. You can keep it very simple, as I did, or you can go nuts by adding many more elements.
The “specialness” of the card comes from the extra piece of acetate in the front panel. You saw in the video how easily I could create this effect. With the blue card base, the blue backdrop could be viewed as ice and the light-reflection from the acetate enhanced that effect.
I only colored and added one penguin from The Alley Way Stamps, but you could do an entire group to make the card even more fun. But as I said, you could use this card design for different occasions. For example use a green backdrop behind the acetate, and then mount flowers on top. Or use blue with clouds and a hot air balloon on top. Or red, with some heart shapes on top for Valentine’s day.
The possibilities are almost endless, and it’s great to have a simple but interesting design at hand for all occasions. That will help you whip up a card in no time (haven’t we all been in that situation) and still have it look very special.
Thanks for stopping by today! Catch you again soon with a new video!
I’m sending this card off to Addicted to Stamps and More “Anything Goes”.
