The weather here in the south of Germany is really weird right now – November started and it should be frosty with first snows, but instead the weekend has been very warm – so warm I could take a walk in shorts and a t-shirt! The trees are almost bare now, and the dried and colorful leaves cover the ground. That was what inspired today’s card:
I started out by stamping the various elements on some Copic friendly card stock; I masked off some of the nuts and leaves so I could stamp other elements “behind” them. It’s not too much work, and I wasn’t worried about the general layout at all. Remember how I recently said coloring should be for fun? 😉
I selected fall colors – warm browns, reds, and yellow-oranges to complement each other. I also drew in some patterns with a Copic multilines, just for extra interest. If you have ever tried Zentangling before, you will see where I got my inspiration from. The sentiment was heat embossed with gold embossing powder and sparkles beautifully when you tilt the card in the light.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you had fun!
