Hello again, fellow crafters. Today I have a fun project for CAS-ual Fridays and I’ll show you how you can stretch your dies for all year round use. You might have seen me use this particular die recently and I am really impressed by it’s versatility. Especially now during the holiday season the die has come in really handy when I needed something to create twigs or wreaths with.
I was particularly delighted when I discovered by accident how to create two-color twigs. I had already started to make the wildest plans, but after die cutting a test piece from red card stock it hit me: I could just color parts of it brown so it would suit my needs. You could cut the shape from white paper and color it any way you need – the possibilities are endless!
For an extra festive touch I made a bow out of some deep green ribbon, which fits perfectly into the classical christmas color scheme. Well, that and it looks just gorgeous. Of course I have not outgrown my dot-addiction just yet and I added them to the red part of my twigs, and some of them I covered in Stickles for some extra festive sparkle.
Last but not least I decided on a bold sentiment which complements the rest of the design. And the timeless font is a feast for the eye.
I hope you got inspired today and find a lot more uses for your dies!
Don’t forget that CAS-ual Fridays is retiring quite a lot of stamp set by end of the year and they are on sale now here.
