Hello, crafty friends! Do you know the feeling when you walk into a craft store and see everything that you ever wanted right in front of you? That feeling like you are in paradise? Emotionally, I’m in a happy place like this because I joined an amazing design team and I get to share my projects with you, finally!
I think most of you have already heard of CAS-ual Fridays. They have fantastic stamps for every type of crafter: some you can color in, some are great for those who just want to stamp and not color at all, and the sentiment stamps will simply blow you away. And if that is not enough, you can also find creative and beautiful dies in the CAS-ual Fridays online store.
For today’s card, I decided to use a stamp set that I’ve been owning for quite a while and I wanted to show you how you can create an amazing background if you’re willing to get a little bit inky:
Some of you might think that coloring like this takes quite a bit of time: I won’t lie, it’s not done within 5 to 10 minutes. But I have to admit, after a long day at work I do enjoy sitting down, putting my mind to rest, and just… color. I find it very soothing and relaxing, unless my cat decides to bump her head into my arm. But that’s a story for another day.
Also, if you don’t have Copic friendly paper that does not bleed through (to my knowledge, only Simon Says Stamp ultra-heavy card stock will work that way), I’m showing you a trick in my video on how to use what ever you have and still get away with the one layer card. Yes, I’m going to make you watch the video, I’m not telling you here 🙂
Thank you for stopping by today! I really appreciate you taking the time, and thanks for commenting! You make my day!
And to bring more joy to others, I’m sending this card off to the following challenges: Inkspirational #90 which asks for One Layer Cards, MarkerPop Anything Goes, and Simon Says Stamp who asks for “Make It Colorful” (score!).
