I’m back, crafters! Today I have a second post for Virginia’s View and of course the topic still is “Geometry”. I have made two cards for today’s post because there are so many possibilities to interpret the theme and I hope I can inspire you, even if you didn’t like Geometry in school.
My first project is so simple I didn’t even make video for it: I used a zig zag stamp by CAS-ual Fridays and a bunch of inks to create this soft color gradient by repeatedly stamping the same stamp over an over. Before I started the stamping I masked off a circle so it would remain white.
The sentiment is from another CAS-ual Fridays set called Exclamations and I think it works great in the circle, which – as a geometrical shape – is the opposite to the geometrical pattern of the zig zag. The card was easy and fast to make and you can choose any colors you like. You could even just stick to one.
My second project was also very easy to do and I made a video for you to watch. I created a symmetrical pattern by stamping the florals, then added geometrical shaped (circles) via a stencil.
As you can see, the current challenge gives you a gazillion option to be creative. I am usually not this artsy, but the challenge really made me leave my comfort zone and try something new – those are the best challenges!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the projects and that I will see your creations over at Virginia’s View! Have fun!
I’m also entering one of the cards into Addicted to Stamps and More Anything Goes.
