Hi crafters! Today I have the huge honor to have been asked to Guest Design for a challenge that is one of my all-time favorites: Virginia’s View. Yes, the Virginia asked me to come and play along. How is that even a question, of course I said yes!
This month’ topic is “Geometry” and sheesh, did I have a hard time with this at first. In my defense, I really sucked at math and all it’s related subjects in school and college, so maybe that was the reason. But in my research, I saw some pretty awesome patterns with geometrical shapes like circles and rectangles, and also a few great symmetrical pieces. That’s where my inspiration for today’s card comes from. I have a video for you, showing you how I made it:
As you can see, even if you don’t have a stamp or stencil to create a pattern, you can easily create them yourself. I was inspired by the challenge photo which has the birds that are colored in with shapes – and since I didn’t have birds, I selected feathers. Hand-drawing patterns is fast, easy and free 😉 so give it a shot.
I hope you enjoyed the project and I hope even more that you will hop over to Virginia’s challenge and play along. There’s a gift certificate to win, and I can’t wait what awesome designs you come up with!
Thanks for stopping by today!
