Hey there, crafters! It’s a new month and that means many new and cute stamp sets are available from The Alley Way Stamps! I decided to feature our new mini set called “Unique Peek”. In the month of August, this stamp set is free with every purchase of US$40 or more.
I know that some stampers find it difficult to work with such small sets because they don’t see all the possibilities of it, so here’s an idea for you:
As you can see, except for the sentiment I’m using only the little paint brush from the stamp set, nothing else. I am always surprised to realize that repeat stamping of the same image can lead to super interesting cards.
But I have to admit that the moment I saw this set, I had the dripping paint brushes visualized and my intense Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors worked perfectly. It was just too much fun to pass up this opportunity and I was pretty happy about how this turned out (even the fussy cutting of the paint brushes wasn’t too bad).
For the sentiment, I choose an older stamp set called Spell Check and stamped it with Versafine, my favorite black ink for sentiments because it has great coverage. I used Canson Watercolor paper both for the card and sentiment to make sure that the “white” tones matched.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed the card. Let me know what you think and have a great day!
I’m sending this card off to the Addicted to Stamps and More “Anything Goes” challenge.
