Hi crafters! Before I dive into today’s project, I just wanted to take the opportunity to say “Thank You!” to each and everyone of you:
The month of July has been kind of crazy for me: not only did I participate in three blog hops, go on vacation twice (the first time it was too hot, and the second time way too expensive), had a birthday — I also had the honor and the great luck to be featured by Jennifer McGuire on her blog and YouTube channel.
The comments that you left – on Jennifer’s blog and my video, on my video for the celebratory hop for Laura Sterckx — were incredible and touched me deeply. Even though there were too many for me to reply to each and every one of them, I read them all and they all put a smile on my face. You have no idea how much it means to crafters like me to get this kind of positive feedback. I even recognize a lot of you by name now, and eagerly check my notification emails to see what you wrote. You are all wonderful and all of you should consider yourselves hugged!
Now, I know from your emails and comments of the lot of you got that the Stabilo markers I featured on Jennifer McGuire’s blog. In that video, I showed you how you can use them as watercolor mediums, but I’m not sure if all of you are aware that you can use them without the water and get brilliant colors. I have done videos about this technique before, but I thought “Why Not Do Another One?”, after all they’re a lot of fun.
Apart from the coloring, which I explained in great detail in the video (so you should really really watch it), I’m also showing you how I am using the We R Memory Keepers Letterpress as a stamp positioning tool. I thought of this use case quite by accident, and it makes me really happy because it lets me stretch my supplies for more than just one purpose.
Additionally, I am once again going crazy with the dots, but this time I’m even using Liquid Pearls for dimensional dots. Of course, they take some time to dry, but I think the effect that you get from them is absolutely worth the extra hassle. And, I’ve had them in my stash forever and I didn’t use them as much as I should have, so this was a fantastic opportunity to let them shine — literally 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by and for all your support. Your comments and emails are just heartwarming and it makes me so happy to read your kind feedback. I apologize that I cannot reply to all of you individually (after all I’m just doing this as a hobby and actually do have a day job) but I appreciate all the time you take to leave me even a small comment.
Hugs to all of you!
And I’m sending this card on the way to Addicted To Stamps and More “Anything Goes”!
