And I’m back with my second post for CAS-ual Fridays as a guest designer! I made so many cards that Michele decided to give me another guest spot so I could share with you more of her awesome products. Check out my first post here.
Today I’m using one of the new stamp sets called “Mon Ami” and it has the most adorable floral images which you could use in true CAS fashion with just the outline you stamp. Or you can use any color medium you like and start filling in those spaces. I couldn’t resist to use my Copics on this card, yet tried to keep it as simple as possible.
The stamp set is so pretty and versatile; there are so many combinations of the floral images with the sentiments that you could create an entire set of cards with completely different looks with this set alone. And the sentiments – oh, aren’t they just both pretty and uplifting? Listen to me gushing. I must be in love.
To make the flower stand out a bit more I chose to frame it with a very simple frame that I created with the Wplus9 Sunshine Layers dies. I intentionally kept everything else all white and low contrast so the flower would shine and be the focal point of the card (you have no idea how hard it is for me to leave so much white space, but I think my restraint really paid off).
Since I simply can’t do without sparkle, I added three rhinestones to the top of the flower. And another litte detail: I traced the “stem” (excluding the sentiment) with one of my green markers. It’s just a tiny detail, but it does make a huge difference in the overall feel of the card.
Thanks for stopping by again today. I love hearing from you!
