Hello crafters! Today I have a quick post featuring the recent stamp set up by the German company Create A Smile, who are looking for a guest designer in July. I also need an excuse to use my Prismacolor pencils again, and the stamp set “Underwater Love” is just perfect for coloring. A note to all readers outside of Germany: Create A Smile has super, super low shipping rates, so don’t let the fact that you might be overseas put you off from buying from them!
I stamped the boat onto some sturdy card stock with some tooth. It’s always good to use a card stock that is not completely smooth when working with Prismacolor pencils, it makes the blending much easier. I decided to go with bright and cheerful colors for the boat so it would be set apart from the blue background. All the coloring on this card was done with Prismacolor pencils. I’m not very good at it yet, but that just gives me more reason to practice it more and more 🙂
I die cut the front panel apart with a Lawn Fawn stitched border die and the background of the card base was stamped with a My Favorite Things stamp. It just felt better than leaving it completely white.
I’m entering this card into the Create A Smile guest designer search for July. Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon!
