Today I’m going all shiny on you. I decided I needed some fresh colors and while I was thinking through different possibilities while sitting at my desk, my eyes fell on my little Perfect Pearls stash. ‘Perfect!’, I thought! Here’s what I created for today’s post on the Make The Day Special Stamp Store blog.
Even though I’d love to use the Perfect Pearls on white card stock, they only truly shine on darker card stock. Black is best, but that was a bit too depressing for me, so I went with kraft. The images were stamped in Versafine ink, which remains sticky for a short while, and I gently pounced on the pearls with a soft brush.
I found that it works best for me if I don’t use the brush with strokes, but with a dipping motion. I softly touch it to the Versamark ink and the powder sticks to it. When you brush, you can end up smearing the ink (at least that keeps happening to me). If you only want to use one color, you can use a larger brush to quickly cover all the ink. Since I wanted to use different colors on images stamped close to each other, I used a smaller brush.
The window to the inside of the card was a spontaneous idea – I originally wanted to stamp around a masked sentiment, but I like this more. It’s a bit different and for the finishing touch, I’ve even added a whole bunch of Pretty Pink Posh sequins in the same colors as I used for the Perfect Pearls. Not sure if I overdid it on the sequins, but I was in complete “bling” mode and couldn’t stop 😉
I’m sending this card off to Curtain Call “Bouquet” – my flowers might not be a traditional arrangement, but they are mighty pretty, ain’t they?
I hope I could bring some sparkle and shine to your day, wherever you are! Thanks so much for stopping by, your comments make my day!
Amazing is what you are! Lovely card. Thanks for the tutorial. I have some PPs an need to get them out and try them again.

This really did work out well for you. Love card and clever of you to place the flowers around the speech bubble negative space.
